Owen reached double digit months and...

• is standing!
• wants a taste of whatever Mommy is eating.
• likes riding in the stroller and being worn in the baby carrier.

Owen at 18 Months

Our dear Owen O'Brien is one and a half years old and...

• riding his scooter and bike like a baby pro.
• picking every flower to smell and every dandelion puff to blow.
• looking for dogs in the neighborhood and barking "woof" with every sighting.
• loves eating a ton of food, especially sweet potatoes and mac and cheese.
• enjoys playing in the water during baths and outside in the sand and water table.
• likes trying to blow bubbles on his own.
• is into reading books, especially those with Elmo and about vehicles.
• will request the Bluetooth speaker to hold while he dances with low squats.
• doesn't drink cow milk, but nurses once in the mornings.
• thriving during quarantine with lots and lots of family time.

CV: Bear Hunt

My House with Lexi and Others

We started the Bear Hunt in March 2020 during the corona virus quarantine.  The Bear Hunt is a fun game that you can play with other people without spreading yucky germs.  You can hide bears or other stuffed animals in your house windows so that neighbors can find them when on a walk, run, or bike ride.  I hid my Lexi bear in my bedroom window behind my curtains and blinds.  Lexi is my Build-A-Bear stuffie that I got when I was a teeny, tiny baby.  I also put some Beanie Baby bears and a bunny in my window.  I like playing Bear Hunt because it is exciting to spot other people's bears.

9 Precious Months!

Owen is 9 months and...

• Crawls off every blanket and rug and will come to Mama when called
• Likes splashing in the bathtub and making music with instruments
• Pulls up on furniture  
• Eats three solid food meals a day
• Visited the beach for the first time on our family trip to the Chesapeake Bay
• Cries if held by anyone when Mommy's present
• Enjoys being worn in the baby carrier during errands or adventures
• Loves attention from Big Brother and Big Sister
• Waves "hello"
