22 Months

Sure Do Love this Boy

Here's what life's like for our little guy at 22 months old.

Caleb...
  • gladly gobbles down oranges, goldfish, edamame, blackberries, pretzels, raspberries, broccoli, and donut holes (from church)
  • snuggles with his regular, Lamby, and will have a Thomas train or his brachiosaurus friend join him for sleeps, too
  • excitedly sits and watches Daniel Tiger at night while Momma cooks dinner
  • points out airplanes, fire engines, construction equipment, trucks (of all kinds), dogs, buses, trains, squirrels, the library, playgrounds, and sports fields and courts when we're outside
  • repeatedly sings the "baa baa" of "Baa Baa Black Sheep," and shakes his finger and tells Momma, "no" when she tries to sing along
  • prefers socks off with toseies free during inside play, while hats and gloves are a must for outside
  • makes the cutest "whoo hoo" noise when swinging up high
  • plays with his bouncy ball, dinosaurs, trucks, and tracks and trains all around the house
  • reads his favorite books of Roadwork, Where is the Green Sheep?, Nursery Rhymes, Treasure Hunt for Boys, Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site, and My big truck book
  • uses the wooden dollhouse and dolls to make Baby go night night, Dada sit, Mama go potty, or any one of them fly (with a whooshing noise)
  • will come and gently snuggle with Momma on early, sleepy mornings
  • happily rushes through his classroom door at drop-off and pick-up everyday
  • wants to wear his froggy rain boots or any of Sister's shoes whenever he can
  • uses hair lotion or wax to achieve his handsomely adorable 'do
  • totally digs bath time and tooth brushing (aka sucking)
  • goes at full force and takes his share of tumbles during adventures big and small
  • wears 24-month clothes and size 7 wide in toddler shoes

Battle Wounds: busted lip from falling down the stairs and cut eyelid from unknown incident at school

Meet Caleb, our 3rd dog.

Dumped Out All of the Library Books

Me and Bud

Today on Mommy and Caleb's morning together we went for a beautiful stroller run before our song and stories class at the library.  Then Caleb got to move around at the playground before we went to get Sister from school.

Caleb is 18 months old tomorrow!  Here are his measurements:
Head- 19" (74%)
Height- 32.25" (44%)
Weight- 24 lbs (49%)

Sis was excited when we brought home a load of Halloween books from the libarary.

  • loves to be snuggled and held and rest his head on my chest
  • had a new chomper pop through his bottom gums
  • naps on his tummy once a day for 1 to 2 hours with Lamby and paci
  • likes being pulled along in the wagon by any willing participant

  • still crosses his feet in the most adorable way when seated
  • is practicing drinking from a big boy cup

  • will approach and point out any canine he sees or hears
  • devours grapes, edamame, bread, spaghetti, peanutbutter crackers, and bananas (mainly with his left hand)
  • will put on and wear shoes of all sizes that he finds around the house (including those belonging to dolls)
