Our Eleanor

Eleanor is nearly 4 and a half years old and...

  • often wakes early and dresses up in full ballerina gear for dancing
  • her favorite outfit always includes a dress, tights, necklace, fancy shoes, and a headband (frequently this very stylish, neon pink, braided one)
  • looks forward to school, bringing a beloved toy with her, and playing with friends
  • is very thoughtful and always making and giving cards to her friends and family
  • stays busy with weekly classes for art, library pre-K story time, and Sunday school
  • sleeps with her lovey at night in her new and cherished purple bedding set
  • her favorite things to do are art (with cutting, markers, glitter glue, and pasting) and playing "mommy" to her many baby dolls
  • she likes to eat Chipotle (cheese quesadilla, 2 rice sides, black beans, and chocolate milk), key lime yogurt, granola bars, and peppermints
  • is all about books (reading Bob Books, checking out her own library selection, and loving chapter books- we recently finished Charlotte's Web and The Big Picture Bible)
  • will bust out singing a version of the Little Mermaid's solo when the Sea Witch takes Ariel's voice
  • is a loving big sister who hugs Caleb at school pick-up each afternoon, shares almost everything (mostly willingly), helps him with dressing, gets so excited when he learns a new word, and lets Caleb practically sit on top of her while sitting on the couch to watch Daniel Tiger
  • really plans ahead for... her birthday party (7 months away), her Halloween costume (8 months off), her grown-up job of being a dentist and mommy, and having twin baby girls (with prayers to God for this)
  • loves petting and snuggling with Tiney and Lola
  • is sensitive, super silly, observant and curious, outgoing, and still our very lovable Sugar Bear

Turning Two

This sweet birthday girl turned TWO years old on September 9, 2014!
We celebrated with butterfly balloons, candlelit cupcakes, gift opening, calls with family, and a date to the petting zoo.

It was a beautiful day to honor Eleanor and the endless joy she continues to bring to our lives.

We praise the Lord for Eleanor Claire.  We give thanks to the Lord for making us her parents just 2 short years ago; God's love for her and for us endures forever.
