Family Stroll

It ended up being really cold and too much since we were recovering from our sicknesses, so our stroll got cut short.  It still felt good to be out of the house altogether for a bit.

Getting Out

It was so cold, but we just had to get out of the house.

I just had to get out.

So, we did.

I got my run in, and the kids played together at the empty playground.

Not sure when we'll be able to move some place warmer, but I'm ready.

Totally Not Phased By the Cold

This is my cold face.  Brrrrrr.

Escape

Winter is sprouting some frigidness after all, so we played at the open gym to escape the wind and below freezing temperatures.

It was especially fun running into friends while we were there.

E had a blast playing with Sadia from school.

We also saw Isla, (Olive, Alexa, and their grandma)!

Sleepyheads!

Gorgeous...

is how our "winter" weather has been.

I mean... Bud's wearing shorts, and I'm sporting a tank top in February for goodness sakes.

The Front Yard

It is so nice having a big front yard to play in on frigid winter days.  This way we don't have far to go when we're ready for a warm cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows!

Caleb just wanted the marshmallows!

Cabin Slow-Down

We were fortunate enough to spend a week of rest and relaxation at Family Circle before returning to the hustle and bustle of life in Northern Virginia.  We got just the right amount of slow-down with rocking chair sitting, cookie baking, sunset watching, snowflake making, new toy exploring, lake walking, and Joey's pancake eating in the heart of the peaceful mountains.

She was so excited to see the cross lit up.

New Bath Toys for Christmas

Caleb got to have pancake, too, and he was a fan!
