Bud's School Update
Although a short week for the Sprouts due to our snowy day we kept very busy in Room 109. The Sprouts created "shamrocks" with paint and glitter which will come home next week in a special package. Bookmarks and shamrock filters went home on Friday. The Sprouts had practice peeling the stickers and putting them on the stick. And they also decorated their shamrock filter with markers and then had to practice spraying a water bottle to watch the colors run together. Along side working with play dough these three activities are great at building on the fine motor skills. We enjoyed singing and dancing the Little Leprechaun song and scooping and pouring with green water. Thank you to Lucas for bringing in some green muffins to enjoy with our snack on Friday. Just a reminder to check what clothing your Sprout has in their cubbies. We have needed to borrow some clothes this week and need replacement clothes. Thank you so much for all you do and giving us the chance to play with your Sprout each week.
Green and Gold!

Our St. Patrick's Day was filled with lots of green... and gold this year! Both kids downed their green breakfast wearing festive clothes and clover bonkers. Then it was off to school for fun holiday activities and a leprechaun visit to E's classroom with gold coins left behind. Keeping the Irish traditions alive!

Green Everywhere
We checked out the St. Patrick's Day parade in Manassas this year since Eleanor's choir performance conflicted with our go-to parade in D.C. This small town event was much less crowded, driving there was a synch, and there was plenty of free parking. Overall stress was much lower compared to the Capital. So, we might be return customers next year! Eleanor's favorite part was the candy (no surprise) and the Irish dancers. Caleb took it all in through views from his stroller and Daddy's lap. Afterwards, we ate lunch at Chick-fil-A, visited an open house, and the kids napped on the ride home. (Later that day Caleb came down with a fever and was sick for several days.)
