First Tooth

Caleb's first tooth cut through right after he turned 9 months.  Golly, it looks like its neighbor isn't far behind.

Back Home

Once we got home after being away for several weeks, we shared some time outdoors as a family around the neighborhood.  Eleanor sped around on her scooter, while Caleb attempted to stay warm and nap in the stroller.  What a beautiful day it was! jan 3

Cooking

This is the play kitchen that Chef Eleanor played with all of the time as a baby.  Now she and Brother have fun using it to cook up yummy treats together.

Bud's 9 Months Old

Caleb Joseph is 9 months old and...

• enjoys chasing after rolling balls and banging toys together
• has proudly mastered his new trick of clapping
• can officially speed crawl
• can't get enough of the dog's water and food bowls
• has one tooth that has cut through (on the center bottom)
• gets so excited to quickly come to you when called
• is eating pretty much everything from cinnamon rolls and chili to pizza and peas
• confidently pulls up and cruises
• is now maneuvering his way up stairs 
• has added mama to his repertoire of CV strings
• literally shovels finger foods into his mouth at dinnertime
• is working on sign language (mostly for feeding)
• fights being restrained and buckled into his carseat
• has been waking up waaaaaay too much in the middle of the night
• can still be a snuggle bug who loves to be held

The Big Sister

Playdate

On MLK Day, we hosted a fun playdate with Kasia.  The girls played lots of babies and dolls and stringed tasty candy necklaces.  Holdiays home from school with friends are days well spent!

Tiny Flecks

Itty bitty flecks of snow brought us all smiles this morning!

Leisure Time

Eleanor transforms into my graceful ballerina nearly any chance she gets.  Similarly, Baby Mary joins the dancing as well. 

Eleanor loves ballet so much that she will wake up first thing in the morning and dress herself in tights and leotard before I've even come in to greet her and say good morning!

Sleepy Dudes

A Saturday snooze on the couch was just what these two needed.

Winter Water Play

Freezing cold temperatures that chap your hands and chatter your teeth?  No worries.  The fam hit up the heated pool at the YMCA.  Eleanor and Caleb thought the winter water play was grand.
