Obsessions

For E, it's dresses and tights... no matter what the weather or temperature.

Mommy went out and bought about eight new pairs of warm stockings
to end the morning battles of getting dressed!

Aren't these polar bear tights darling?  E thinks so!

For Bud, it's trains.  He looooves to say, "Board" (for all aboard)!

Thank you Aunt Saralyn and Lucas for sharing two Thomas trains with us.
Bud takes them everywhere!

Sis's tree turned out beautiful!

See where Eleanor wrote "Christ?"  She wanted to write it to go with my drawing, so I gave her the spelling.

Some Cheer

We added some Christmas cheer to the inside and outside of our home this weekend.  Daddy thoughtfully set up our trees before he jetted out of town, so we were distracted from his absence and ready to get going on decorating.

Both Eleanor and Caleb were eager to help and were delighted by the Christmas music and holiday books galore.  They played with the nativity sets and advent calendar for what seemed like hours and listened intently as I told stories from the ornaments we hung on branches.  It felt like I was channeling Clark Griswold with a few light snafus, but everything eventually went aglow.

All that's left to do is placing the star upon the top of the tree.  We're saving that for Kyle!

Lunch Break

Looks like an angel party.

Caleb is obsessed with the horse ornaments.

E played a big role in helping hang these lights!

We're Thankful

This November we recorded things that we were thankful for on our window pumpkins.  Most of the ideas were supplied by Eleanor, but Kyle and I fit in one or two, too.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
