Farm Fun

The Loudon County Farm Tour was featuring a farm owned by the grandparents of one of Caleb's classmates.  So, we made the hike along scenic country roads to visit their place called Three Bags Wool Farm on Saturday morning.  At the farm, we got to see lots of animals and visit with Caleb's friend, Noah, and his family.  The highlight of the trip was probably holding the weeks old Icelandic lamb, just like the ones we saw a year ago on our trip with Val.

Saturday Sprays!

Saturday morning we visited the sprayground as a family right when it opened.  This happened to be the same one I took the kids to when Caleb was a couple of months old and only a wee little baby.  Things have really changed since then!  Now Eleanor is trying to situate herself directly below the raised buckets so water will dump on her head, and Caleb is running around in sunglasses through the fountains trying to keep up with Big Sis.

Rainbow Rock

Eleanor had been requesting to see the band Rainbow Rock, so their performance at an Alexandria library over the weekend couldn't have been better planned.  Eleanor was selected as a helper for a song, and she even got to wear a beautiful rainbow mask as she helped lead in the moves.  Later in the show, Caleb got a chance to dress up as a tiger, too, so both kids were pretty stoked.  Afterwards, we played at a nearby playground and built rain gauges at home.
