It was a very chilly day, so the soft playroom was a perfect escape. Caleb loved playing in the ball pit and crawling through the tunnel. Eleanor got a lesson in how to deal with a bit of a rough bully who would not let up. He got the best of her a couple times and shed a few tears, but that didn't stop her from still having fun. After the playing, we walked to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, and both kids napped along the way.
Girlfriends are the Best
| Before Friends Arrived |
Today was an extra special stay-at-home day because we had a playdate scheduled. Eloise, Rollie, and Ms. Beth joined us for some morning fun at our place. The girls were a hoot, making use of (what seemed like) every toy in the house and gallivanting around in princess dresses and heels. They even climbed into Caleb's crib at one point before I'd realized what had happened. Did I mention that they also dug into Eleanor's armorer and picked out pajamas to wear? The little brothers didn't think much of it, but Beth and I sure got a kick out of their girlie squeals and silly antics!

Evicted... Finally
| E's grump face was a reflection of having her picture taken and not of having Brother join her. |
After ten months of bunking with Mom and Dad, Caleb was waaaaay overdue to move out and secure a new crib, literally. So, he found a new roommate in Sister. She was tickled and had been looking forward to this day for many months.
Caleb was still struggling to sleep soundly at night, which is what delayed the move. We're hoping that having him further away from Mama (and milk) will help him go back to sleep more easily once he wakes.
These pictures are from their first night as roomies! It's a tight fit with all the furniture and beds, but we still managed to squeeze in the essentials, the play kitchen and baby bed.
Early Literacy
We often visit the library on our stay-at-home days. They offer preschool classes first thing in the morning that Eleanor attends. There's limited space, and it's on a first come first served basis, so we literally have to wait out in a line outside the front door in the cold.
Once we get in, E likes to check out the computer games. She keeps trying to use the desktop monitor like and iPad, touching the screen and hasn't yet mastered the mouse. However, that doesn't stop her from trying and having fun using the Dora game. When we aren't reading books, there is also a play area with toys that both E and C enjoy.
We truly are so thankful for our local libraries here.
