Movie and Splash Park Date
Today started with an AMC dollar movie showing in the morning with the A crew. Although the movie option wasn't our favorite, the theatre experience with the cushy seats, big screen, and buttery popcorn did not disappoint. After the show let out, we took our spirited bunch to Chipotle for lunch before heading to the Potomac Yards playground and fountains. The kids ran around together and played in the water under the hot sun. When it was time for the A family to head home, I walked Eleanor and Caleb to the grocery store for dinner ingredients.

My Movie Date
There's a theatre nearby that does "Mommy and Me" showings once a month. They keep the lights dimmed and lower the volume to make it more welcoming for mothers and their babies. It has been frigid and in the twenties lately, so outdoor activities haven't been an option. However, a movie was a great alternative that still allowed us to get out of the house. Eleanor and I checked out yesterday's feature, "Les Mis." The off and on cries, spilled Cheerios, strollers parked in the aisle, and impromptu diaper changes made for an interesting theatre experience, but they didn't bother us a bit. In fact, Eleanor slept through most of the movie on my lap. She made a fantastic date, and I'm already looking forward to taking her to another flick!

Chatting Up a Storm
We were at my parents' house when this video was shot. Eleanor could hardly get a word in with all of us together. Ha!
