Final MT Moments

A delicious pancake and bacon breakfast made packing up to leave Glacier National Park a little easier to swallow.  Before heading out, we spotted a deer running right through our campsite, and we then explored some paths through the park.  Eleanor got to chat up a ranger, and we walked along crystal blue waters in the towering forest.  We survived the super long drive back to the cabin and packing before leaving Montana the next day.

Taking a Gander of the Deer

Here's Eleanor again with her bison friend at the Bozeman airport.

We arrived to Denver in the middle of the night and managed to catch a few hours of sleep before the final legs of our flights departed the next morning.

Here's Caleb in his hotel crib.  He's wondering where the tent went!

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park was not originally scheduled into the itinerary due to its extensive distance from the cabin.  Well, plans changed when Katie called from the park raving about its unbelievable sites.  So, we trekked across Montana to join Katie and Jonathan at Glacier.

The mountain scenes did not disappoint with their wild ram and goats and snow-capped glory.  The park's famous Going-to-the-Sun Road was steeper than I knew and more terrifying than I want to ever drive again.  However, the view from the trails at the top of the Road was breathtaking and certainly a highlight of our trip out West.
