My Ballerina

Eleanor had been telling me about her upcoming ballet "recital" for several days, and the big event was finally upon us.  She twirled and flitted across our living room like a little bird rejoicing in the first day of spring!  How very precious... and appropriate!  Since I can't play the Nutrcracker ballet music and record video simultaneously from my iPhone, still frames will have to suffice as evidence of her miraculous performance and one of a kind curtsey finale.

The Nutcracker

For the second year in a row, Kyle and I took Eleanor on a special date to see The Nutcracker.  This time the show was performed by a local dance company and starred children as young as three years old.  It was adorable and inspirational to see them on stage.  Of course, Ballerina Eleanor was very passionate about wanting to be a dancer in the show, too.  I told her she'd make a great little mouse!

Yes, there were roller skaters!

Leisure Time

Eleanor transforms into my graceful ballerina nearly any chance she gets.  Similarly, Baby Mary joins the dancing as well.

Eleanor loves ballet so much that she will wake up first thing in the morning and dress herself in tights and leotard before I've even come in to greet her and say good morning!
