Halloween's a Hoot

With over one week of walking experience under her belt, our little feathery fowl practically "flew" down the street during her trick-or-treating enterprise tonight.

Happy Halloween and a "hoot" to you from Eleanor Owl.

We've been calling her our "screech owl" since she's been screaming at such high pitches lately.

Loving the Independence of Walking

Eleanor devoured her piece of chocolate candy.

She walked straight to the park and led us to the swings.  So, E got a Halloween swing ride.

Walking Wins

It looks as if Eleanor has finally decided that walking trumps crawling.

Walking does help you collect fall leaves faster, after all.

Autumn is Here

Oh, how it's clear
That autumn is here

Cool breezes blowing on afternoon runs
Golden-red leaves going crunch, crunch, crunch

One little cutie pie dressed in "Boo"
Holding the pumpkins she likes to chew

Spiders lurking in stretched out webs
Mums a'blooming on front porches

Flannel and scarves that hug your neck
Long sleeve jammies, plus a down blanket

White bean chili in a china bowl
Coffee to start and cocoa to fold

It's clear; it's clear
How autumn is here

Family Shot with the Giant Gourds

The girls (Eleanor and Bailey) were toddling/walking around the pumpkin displays.

Waving

"I found another pumpkin I like."
